George Artis, 79, formerly of 2504 Cashwel Drive, died Saturday at Willow Creek of Goldsboro, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 N. Carolina St., with the Rev. Howard Artis officiating. Burial will take place at Turner Swamp Cemetery in Eureka, N.C.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Artis is survived by two daughters, Ms. Sheila Kornegay and Ms. Barbara Lane.
Services are entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
