Jerry Linwood Best, 56, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Jerry was born in Wayne County on Sept. 14, 1954 to Shirley Jackson Best and the late Kennon Best.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Ordelt officiating.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Robin B. Best; his sons, Christopher and Kyle Best of the home and Jeremy Best of Newton Grove; his brothers, Gerald "Buster" Best and wife, Becky of Dunn, Ricky Best and wife, Sandy of Mount Olive and Tracy Best of Mount Olive; his sister, Cathy Hernandez and husband, Joe of Mount Olive; his mother-in-law, Sandy Bruns; his sister-in-law, Wendy Upchurch and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and following the service.
