Pedro Manzo-Lira, 49, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterward.
He was born in Mexico on Aug. 9, 1962, to Luis and Isidora Lira Manzo of Louisiana.
He was a beloved father, brother, son, grandfather and best friend. He fought a courageous battle with cancer to be with the ones he loved.
In addition to his parents, Pedro is survived by a son, Pedro Lordeo of Goldsboro; one daughter, Blanca Avila-Manzo (David) of Goldsboro; three sisters, Elizabeth Wrightstone, Maria Manzo and Rosa Gauthier (Marcus) of Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Noeh, Esteban, Marlene, Jessica, Melissa, Angel and Nathanael; his companion, Felicia Williams; two nieces, Claudia and Gabby and a nephew, T.A.
