NEWTON GROVE -- Christopher M. Matthews, 61, of 163 Holiday Lane died Tuesday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at White Oak Disciples Of Christ with Bishop Charlie Williams officating.
Born in Cumberlnd County, he was the son of the late Willie Matthews and Mary C. Green.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Matthews, of the home and five children.
Garris Funeral Home served the family.
