MOUNT OLIVE -- Mrs. Lillian Lane Weeks, 95, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Salem Advent Christian Church, where she was a lifelong member. Dr. Harry Soucy and the Rev. Rick Hathaway will officiate. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Weeks was the widow of Marvin Wendell Weeks, and together they enjoyed 61 years of a wonderful marriage.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Bryant and Lovie Lane, and was sister to the late Samantha Price, Lona Mozingo, Nettie Millard and Mabel Price.
She is survived by her son, Kennon Weeks and his wife, Sue, of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Betsy W. Gollick and husband, Allen, Erin Weeks, David E. Myers, Debra Sue Dail and April Lynn McLamb; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Gollick, Jonathan Myers, Ethan Myers, Kristin Westbrook, Mitchell Dail and Hannah McLamb; two great-great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Westbrook and Kamdyn Westbrook; and a dear sister-in-law, Grace Jackson of Dunn.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home Thursday, July 28, from 7 to 9 p.m., and at other times at the Weeks residence on Bert Martin Road.
Very much appreciated will be floral tributes, as well as memorial gifts to Salem Advent Christian Church, 909 N. Church St., Mount Olive.
