DUMFRIES, Va. -- Kenneth L. Darden, born in Wayne County, was the son of the late Roosevelt and Minnie Darden.
Funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home in Dale City, Va. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery in July.
A graduate of Dillard High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army, and was retired from the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife, Kim, of the home; daughters, Denie of Woodbridge, Va., and Ruth of New Haven, Conn.; brothers, Carnell Darden of Four Oaks, and James Darden of Alexandria, Va.; sisters, Velma Darden of Charlotte, Jankie Davis of Hampton, Va., and Jean Jones of Goldsboro; uncle, Rev. Moses Darden of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Tyrone Darden of Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray.
