MARY INGRAM
May 30, 1955-June 4, 2011
SEVEN SPRINGS -- Mary Ingram was called home to be with her Lord and savior June 4, 2011, at her home in Seven Springs, N.C.
Mary was born May 30, 1955, to the late Douglas Outlaw Sr. and the late Helen Kelly Outlaw.
She attended and graduated from North Duplin High School in 1973.
She was employed at Boling Chair Co. in Mount Olive, N.C., for many years. She also worked at Southco Co.
In her later years, she became a leader of the gospel. She became an associate minister at Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
As her love for the ministry grew, Mary was given the service of teaching Sunday school, Bible study teacher, and she established the Women's fellowship at her church.
Mary considered Christ to be her greatest love, then her son Maurice, and of course, the love of her life Winsor Junior Ingram.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of the home, Deacon Winsor Junior Ingram Jr.; two sons, Hornell Maurice (Latoya) Outlaw of Goldsboro, N.C., and Lonnie (Linda) Thomas of Forestville, Md.; four daughters, Lisa Ingram of Washington, D.C., Elvertice Tina (Bruce) Shingler of Fort Washington, Md., Nicole (Keith) Fantroy of Morrisvilla, Ala., and Terrie Thomas of Waldorf, Md.; seven siblings, Douglas (Paulette) Outlaw of Marietta, Ga., Kenneth (Peggy) Outlaw of Dudley, N.C., Earl (Cynthia) Smith of Goldsboro, N.C., Don Smith of Fayetteville, N.C., Jeannette Pride of Goldsboro, N.C., Roberto Smith of Mount Olive, N.C., and Teresa Smith of Maryland; five aunts, Kathy Eato of Bayshore, N.Y., Marian Isler of Goldsboro, N.C., Doris Stevens of Goldsboro, N.C., Erlene Steven of New York and Carolyn Kelly of New York; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Special friends include evangelist Nell Whitfield and mother Peggy Ingram Council.
A visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Smith Chapel Free will Baptist Church, with pastor Antonio Blow officiating. After which, Mrs. Ingram's delicate temple, along with her adored family, will be escorted to Wayne Memorial Park for interment rites.
For now Eldress Imgram is sitting down at the welcome table, where all those that have labored down here, are now feasting and enjoying that beautiful city called heaven.
