Mary Lou Futrelle, 78, died Tuesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Alexandria, Va., to the late James and Flo Kelly, and was married to Milton Futrelle Sr.

A member of First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, Mary Lou was also a member of the First Baptist Church choir.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Willowdale Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends prior to the funeral from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Elsie Hooks Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Goldsboro.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Carole Futrelle of Brevard, N.C.; a daughter, Sandra Futrelle of Newport, N.C.; a sister, Elizabeth Boehnen of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Faison Williams, Travis Daniels, Tyler Daniels, Dan and wife, Susan Futrelle, and Kelly Futrelle; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Kaden Daniels and Katie Futrelle.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
