LEE EDWARD BROWN

WARSAW -- Lee Edward Brown, 88, Warsaw, died June 2, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Mr. Brown was a dedicated member of Warsaw Baptist Church. He served on the building committee for Duplin General Hospital, and was a member of its board of directors, serving as chairman for 20 years.

He was a graduate of Warsaw High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and served his country in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Jean Morton Brown; two children, Lee. E. Brown Jr. of Warsaw and Allen M. Brown and wife, Natalie, of Aurora, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Joseph Marshall and Camilla Marie Brown.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Dixon Cox Brown.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Warsaw Baptist Church, with a visitation period prior to that at 1:30 p.m. in the church parlor.
