ROBERT "ROB" E. NEWSOME

Robert E. Newsome "Rob," 112 Daisy St., was born Oct. 12, 1964, to Betty Jean Newsome and the late Ralph Earl Newsome. He departed this life Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Robert was educated in the Wayne County Public Schools.
Robert attended New Bethel (WOCM) Church. He was born again into the kingdom of God.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Heath, and a sister, Carol Jean Bryant.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory a son, Jacob (Lovett) Newsome; his loving mother, Betty Jean Raiford; three sisters, Patricia McNeil (Gilbert), Shirley Mack (Maurice) and Terry Pearsall (Morris); two brothers, Ralph Earl Newsome (Wennona) and Maurice Carroll all of Goldsboro, N.C.; eight aunts, Elizabeth Peacock (Blan Jr.), Fannie Johnson (Willie), Hilda Reed (James), Leona Darden (the late James Luther), Barbara Hamilton (Carl), Patricia Moses, Ruby Bryant and Inez Woodard (Billy); three uncles, John Russell, Van Moses and Woody Newsome; five nieces; eight nephews; two special friends, Josephine Lawson and Irene Brown; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mr. Newsome will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday at Darden Chapel Church. After which, Mr. Newsome's physical sheath, along with his cherished family, will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for interment rites.
