Lorean Swinson, 88, Goldsboro, died Thursday.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. William Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Swinson Sr., and son, Raymond Swinson Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Mitzi Lloyd of Manassas, Va., and Tonya Sampson of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Raymond Swinson III, of Macon, Ga., Spencer Lloyd of Manassas, Va., Malissa Sampson of Greenville, N.C., and Larry Sampson II of Raleigh, N.C.; special daughters, eldress Ruthell Taylor and minister Lillian Williams of Goldsboro; friend, Betty Bynum of Longs, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Swinson's remains will lie in state for viewing at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at 801 S. Slocumb St., where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
