Mr. Edward Lee Brewington, 46, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Coco -- Short stuff," 134 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, N.C., departed this life Monday, March 7, 2011, at his residence,

Edward was born Sept. 4, 1964, to the living Mr. Edward Brewington Jr. and the late Mrs. Pearlie Woodard Brewington.

He attended Goldsboro city schools, and graduated from Eastern Wayne High School.

He joined Gospel Light Temple Apostolic Church.

He worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital and J.P. Stevens Co. for several years.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Gospel Light Temple Apostolic Church, 1008 Atlantic Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., with Dr. Carlton Jackson officiating.

Also, a public viewing will be held Friday, March 11, 2011, at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., from 2 to 7 p.m., with a wake from 6 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral in Elmwood Cemetery, 673 U.S. 117 north, Goldsboro, N.C.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories his loving grandmother, Dorothy Mae Battle; father, Edward Brewington Jr.; nine children, Roman Jones, Kimara, Aniyah, Jamirah, Dorian, Malik, Delisha, Rasheema and Donta; five brothers, Donnell Brewington and wife, Shirley, and Douglas Brewington and wife, Cath, of Goldsboro, N.C., Levi Barnes of Austin, Texas, Lenard Brewington of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Don White of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Antionette Brewington of Goldsboro and Miracle Brewington of Brooklyn, N.Y.; eight uncles, Dock Brewington and wife, Lorretta, Chester Brewington, Anthony Brewington, Willie V. Brewington and wife, April, William Moore and wife, Rosalyn, Willie Brewington, Lamont Brewington and wife, Brenda, bishop Clifton Brewington and wife, Portial, and Kenneth Brewington; five aunts, Gwendolyn B. Spurill of Goldsboro, Angela Armstrong and husband, Gerald, of Goldsboro, Betty Mervin and husband, Johnny, of Virginia Beach, Va., minister Vera Logan of Goldsboro and Inez Covington of Anchorage, Alaska; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
