TREVA JEANES KENNEDY

PINK HILL -- Treva Jeanes Kennedy went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 7, 2011.

She was a resident of Pink Hill/Beulaville area, and provided many years of dedicated service to Haymount Free Will Baptist Church in Fayetteville, N.C., where her husband, the Rev. Dean Kennedy, served as pastor.

She will be remembered as a devoted Christian lady, a loving wife, a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a beloved sister and a spiritual light to all of her family, and a compassionate and giving friend to many.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at 7 p.m., followed by visitation at Community Funeral Home chapel in Beulaville, N.C.

A graveside service will be Thursday, March 10, 2011, at 11 a.m. at East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville, N.C.

Visitation will be one hour before the service and after the service.

She is survived by husband, the Rev. Hayes Dean Kennedy of Pink Hill, N.C.; son, Rocky and Gwendolyn Kennedy of Pink Hill, N.C.; daughter, Melanie and Doug Seymour of Pikeville, N.C.; sister, Allyce Jeanes Lucas of Sylva, N.C.; brother, Opey Dew and Jenny Jeanes of Mount Olive, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
