GERALDINE COLEY SPRUILL

Sept. 3, 1931-March 7, 2011

Geraldine Coley Spruill was born Sept. 3, 1931, on Coley Plantation in Saulston Community. She passed from labor to reward Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was the daughter of
the late Cleveland "Jack" Coley and Annie Bell Green Coley.

She attended the Wayne County Public Schools, and graduated from Salem Beauty School in 1958.

She was a member of Reaching the World For Christ Ministry, where the Rev. Edward Jones is pastor.

She was employed by Seymour Johnson Childcare Development Center in Goldsoro, N.C., and retired in 2003.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Spruill, and a daughter, Maria.

Her memories will be cherished by four sons, Ralphael Spruill, Roland (Cynthia) Worrell, Thomas (Sandra) Spruill of Goldsboro and Alex (Christal) Spruill of Accokeek, Md.; six sisters; a brother; an aunt; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church Saturday at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at Woods Chapel Free Will Baptist Church from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, where it also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.

Doris Darden, 77, 2401 Wayne Memorial Drive, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Zion Church Ministries. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.

She is survived by five children.

Visitation will be at 125 Sandy Drive, where the family will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by the McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.
