CONCORD -- Sarah Casey Covington, 96, died Saturday at Taylor Glenn Health Care.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Independence Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Todd Marlin and Dr. Robert Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born Oct. 15, 1914, in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Robert Casey and Narcissa Grady Casey. She was married to the late Arthur Dewey Covington Sr.
She is survived by a son.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. in the chapel of the church.
