Audrey B. Sasser, 3592 NC Hwy. 111 N., went to his Heavenly home Friday afternoon at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law with them by his side. Our loss is Heaven's gain!
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at United in Christ Church, 1314 Patetown Road. The Rev. Ira Williford will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 867 South NC 581. There will be a time of sharing with the family following the service and at other times at the home of Kevin and Wendy Sasser, 3600 NC Hwy. 111 N.
Surviving are his son, Kevin Sasser (Wendy) of Patetown; and a daughter Wanda S. Langston (Tim) of Fremont; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Audrey lived all of his life in Patetown, where he worked on the family farm and was preceded in death by his wife this past October, Esther Davis Sasser; his parents Anna Ward Sasser and George Washington Sasser; and a brother, Arnold J. Sasser. He farmed and worked with Dumas Oil Company and the County of Wayne in his later years.
