CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Charles Comar Blanchard Sr., 74, died Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be held today at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Prayers of final commendation and farewell were to follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends at J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant chapel Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The rosary was recited at 6 p.m.
Blanchard was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Charleston, S.C., son of the late Claude Wright Blanchard Sr. and Helena Igoe Blanchard. He was married to Clara Elizabeth Farmer Blanchard.
Blanchard is survived four sons and a daughter.
