PINK HILL -- Carl Murphy "Sam" Baker, 51, 101 Lester Turner Road, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
Funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Turning Point Assembly in Pink Hill, with the Rev. Gene Turner officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery in Pink Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Suzie Price Baker; three sons, Cole Baker and Cale Baker of the home and Scottie Summerlin of Beulaville; parents, Gladys Casper of Pink Hill and Carl Dean Baker and wife, Lillie, of Pink Hill; a brother, Joe Baker and wife, Charlotte, of Pink Hill; two stepsisters, Pam Rhodes and husband, Frederick, and Linda Jones and husband, Todd; a sister-in-law, Tracy Price; a brother-in-law, Matt Price and wife, Tammy; two grandchildren, Taylor and Cayden Summerlin; six nephews, Jason Baker, Josh Baker, Carson Price, Rhett Price, Austin Bridwell and Ashton Baker; and four nieces, Dawn Baker, Riley Price, Morgan Price and Renee Price.
Special thanks is given to two special aunts, Tiny Rogers and Bonnie Murphy.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
