Mount Olive -- Emma Lee Rose Sutton, 88, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Mrs. Sutton was a longtime member of Thunder Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was active in the women's ministries for many years.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her daughters, LaRose Daniels of Goldsboro, Debbie Daniels and her husband, Joe, of Clayton, Becky Zerr and her husband, Mick, of Wilmington and Rhonda Sutton of Dudley; five grandchildren, James, Chris and Ellis Daniels and Jamie and Rebecca Zerr; and seven great-grandchildren and another due this month.

Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Sutton; father, McEnnis Rose; mother, Mamie "Granny" Hollingsworth Rose Fields; and stepfather, Ed Fields.

Services to celebrate Mrs. Sutton's life will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Thunder Swamp Church, with the Rev. Vance Harrell officiating. Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service, and at other times at her daughter's residence at 113 Cedar St., Dudley.
