MAGDALENE QUINN LANE

MOUNT OLIVE -- Magdalene Quinn Lane, 79, Indian Springs community, Tuesday went to be with her Lord and savior. Death came while she was a patient at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born May 29, 1931, in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Lawton and Mamie Waller Quinn.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Lane; a young son, Maurice Lane Jr.; two brothers, Lawton Quinn Jr. and Milford Quinn; four sisters, Cecilia Winders, Bonnie Lane, Pearl Hill and Verna Mae Hill; and a great-grandchild, Trevor Barwick.

Mrs. Lane is survived by three sons and their wives, Ray and Faye Lane and Jerry and Tamera Lane all of Princeton and Richard Lane of Mount Olive; four daughters and their husbands, Faye and George Barwick, Tina and James Barwick, Nancy Henderson and Cathy Dobbs all of Mount Olive; two sisters, Shirley Lane and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro and Kathryn Jones of California; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wayne's Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, where Mrs. Lane was a longtime, faithful member, with the Rev. Don Gulledge and the Rev. Ralph Parker officiating.

Visitation with the family be held at the church immediately following the service. At other times, friends and family will be received at 3549 Emmaus Church Road, Mount Olive.

The burial service will be held at Pineview Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to the church.
