Eleanor Carlisle Williams, 78, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church with Bill Garner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
Eleanor was born in Greene County on Jan. 3, 1933, to the late Simon and Eula Belle Oakley Carlisle. She was a member of New Hope Friends Church.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Farrell Williams; her son, Jamie Williams and wife, Lynn of Four Oaks; her daughter, Lisa Johnson and husband, Edward, of Goldsboro; her sister, Delia Smith and husband, Reynolds, of Goldsboro; and her two grandchildren, Reid Williams and Seth Williams of Four Oaks. She is also survived by several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
