MOUNT OLIVE -- Alford "Popcorn" Miller, 72, died Thursday at Duke University Hospital.
A homegoing service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at New Jackson Tabernacle with pastor Roosevelt Herring officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Cemetery.
Born in Robeson County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Mary Merrick Miller.
He is survived by one son.
Viewing will be held Monday from 3 until 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the home of Luther and Shirley Perkins, 321 E. Pollock St. Mount Olive.
