THOMASVILLE -- The Rev. Norwood Bryant Futrell, a retired Free Will Baptist minister, died Sunday morning.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at 12 p.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 752 Stoney Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C.

There will be a time of sharing with the family from 11 a.m. to noon in the sanctuary.

Committal service will follow at Eureka Cemetery, 200 N.C. 111 north, Eureka, N.C.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Arlene Seib Futrell; a daughter, Rebecca Futrell Oberman of Huntingdon, Pa.; three sons, the Rev. James B. Futrell of Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Thomas M. Futrell of Trinity, N.C., and Daniel N. of Thomasville; five grandchildren; a sister; Helen Futrell James of Washington, N.C.; and two brothers, Zane G. Futrell of Fayetteville and William H. Futrell of New Hope, Pa.

Memorials are suggested to either Free Will Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 249, Middlesex, N.C., 27557, or Great Commission Fund of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in honor of the Rev. Norwood B. Futrell, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, Colo., 80935.
