ALBEMARLE -- Mr. Edward Bruce Davis, 85, 21093 Biles Road, Albemarle, passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at CMC Main in Charlotte.

He was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Goldsboro, N.C., to the late Marvin and Esther Rose Davis.

Edward was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Parker Davis, and brother, Gordon Davis.

He was a member of Plyer Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr. Davis was a retired manager from Unifirst.

He was a member of Stokes Masonic Lodge No. 32 AF and AM, as well as a Scottish Rite Mason.

A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from noon to 1:30 p.m.

A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Davis of the home; daughters, Pamela Lefler and husband, Jackie, of Concord and Debbie McIntosh of Kannapolis; brother, Tom Davis; grandchildren, Cassie Lefler Measimer, Brian Foster, Tonya Foster Outen, Jason Foster, Heather Lefler Gainey and Shannon Jackson Lefler; 17 great-grandchildren; and extended family, Diane Herrin, Wanda and Steve Morgan and Jerry and Cindy Herrin.
