MELVA HOLLOMAN EZZELL

WARSAW -- Melva Holloman Ezzell went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, after almost 90 years.

Melva, known as Granny by all who knew her, was raised on a farm by her parents, James and Fannie Holloman until she married James, who also was a farmer. They worked hard at farming, raising two fine sons who loved and respected them both very much. Granny loved sitting on her porch admiring her flowers in her yard during the summer. Melva and James were members of Faison Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 30 years. Melva was a member of Bethlehem Church in Turkey.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Benjamin and wife, Patricia, of Virginia, Linda Ezzell, Nancy Ezzell of Warsaw, grandchildren, Angie Johnson and husband, Lynn of Mount Olive, B. J. Ezzell and wife, La Donna, of Harrells, Jennifer Cannon and husband, Craig, of Virginia, Brenda Fisher and husband, Randy, and Bonnie Hollingsworth and husband, Josh, also of Virginia and James Ezzell of Iceland.

Melva also had eight great-grandchildren, Alan and Abigail Johnson, T. J. and Donnie Ezzell, Benjamin Cannon and Taylor Hollingsworth. She also leaves three brothers-in-law, Roy, Leon, and Walter and a very special sister, Ruby Williams and husband, Glen.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James T. Ezzell. They shared 61 years together. Also her son, Bobby Chester Ezzell, three sisters and three brothers.

A funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan.1, 2011, at Community Funeral Home Chapel in Warsaw, with visitation following the service. A graveside service will be held at
2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, in Faison Cemetery.

Her family would like to thank the Tarhill Home Heath Care for their help in taking care of our mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Wanda, Teresa, Candace and Christy and the wonderful people at the Warsaw Drug Co.
