Derris Jamie Oates, 30, of 803 Slaughter St., died Sunday in the Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Arrangements are incomplete at the McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
In addition to the residence, the family will also receive friends at his father's home at 309 Gold Leaf Drive.
