W.G. 'JACK' LANCASTER

FREMONT -- W. G. "Jack" Lancaster, 90, died Friday, December 24, at his residence. A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Bryant E. and Ellen Edmundson Lancaster and was the widower of Mary Ruth Balance Lancaster. Jack was a retired farmer and lived his entire life in Wayne County. He was a member of Antioch FWB Church and is a member of Missionary FWB Church in Fremont.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday following the service.

He is survived by his son and caregiver, Bill Wayne Lancaster of the home, a granddaughter, Christy Stevens; two grandsons, Ken and Brian Lancaster; four great-grandchildren; a brother, J.R. Lancaster and wife Esther of Pikeville; and a special friend, Jennie Renzo of Wilson.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Jack Lancaster Jr.
