Betty Bridgers Jernigan, 70, of 119 Susan Circle, Goldsboro, died Thursday morning at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Lewis Baker and the Rev. Kelley Buffalo officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Born Oct. 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Willard Marlin and Ruby Toler Bridgers. She was the widow of the late Johnnie Allen Jernigan Sr.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Kelly Jernigan of Goldsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Todd Grant of Clemson, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Willard Ray and Peggy Bridgers of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jackson Grant, Mary Chase Grant, Harrison Grant, Cameron Jernigan, Nick Becton; nephews, Tony and Angie Bridgers Mike and Betsy Bridgers; and great-nieces and nephews, Tray Bridgers, Kristy Bridgers, Anna Mikel Bridgers and Traci Bridgers.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
