MOUNT OLIVE -- Lonnie William Coley Jr., 61, 406 W. Main St., Mount Olive, departed this life Saturday at this residence.
He was preceded in silent halls of death by his parents, Lonnie W. Coley Sr. and Bertha Edwards Coley, and sisters, Bertha Tate and Frances Coley
Eulogistic services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at Faith Presbyterian Church, with elder Rachel Barrett officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Wayne Memorial Park North.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Carol J. Coley of Mount Olive; children, Lonnie William of Goldsboro, Tracy William Coley of Charlotte and Evonne Coley-Harris of Raleigh; stepchildren, Leverion J. Wynn of Iraq and Carol J. Wynn of Raleigh; siblings, Morris Coley, David Lee Coley, Leon Coley, Winfred Gerald Coley of Goldsboro, Dorothy Mae Coley of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Wanda Coley Harris of Madison; two special brothers, Manuel Jackson of Goldsboro and Milton Jackson of New Orleans, La.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at 109 Randall Place, where they will assemble in preparation for funeral procession.
