MOUNT OLIVE -- Danny Woodrow Herring, 67, passed away Friday, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Herring was born June 18, 1943, in Wayne County to the late Jesse and Hazel Pelt Herring. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jones Herring and a son, Daniel Herring.
He is survived by a son, Jeffrey Herring of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Jordan, Matthew and Mackenize; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Herring of Monroe; and a special friend, Mary Smith.
