DAVIS -- Alan Taylor, 57, of Davis, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.
Mr. Taylor was a member of Davis Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Davis Original Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. B.J. Wineberry and the Rev. Jimmy Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Nelson Bay Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Taylor of the home; stepchildren, Shannon Harris and husband, Kerry, of Atlantic and Faith Piner and husband, Randy, of Williston; grandson, Alan Taylor of Indiana; special grandchildren, Ryan Spatilson, Devan Harris and Chandler Harris all of Atlantic and Darren Piner and Daylen Piner both of Williston; two sisters, Anne Brohawn and husband Hubert of Davis and Rita Brewer of Beaufort; brother, Ralph Taylor of Marshallberg; brother-in-law, Lee Davis and wife, Sandra, of Otway; and father-in-law, Preston Davis and wife, Tempie, of Davis and Mount Olive.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Michael Taylor, and his parents, Avery and Thelma Taylor.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
