WILLIAM COY 'JUNE' REID JR.

William Coy "June" Reid Jr. of 323 N. Alabama Ave., Goldsboro, transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday at his residence. He was born on July 7, 1953, to the late Bertha Mae and William Coy Reid Sr.

He graduated from Goldsboro High School, class of 1972. After graduation, he join the US Navy where he served his country for six years, as an Electronics Technician. He had a love for technology and tinkering around with electronics. He would rig up something in a minute. He worked as a painter. When you would see him, you knew his occupation. He wore the paint all over himself!

June loved his two sisters, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Bertha Reid, father William "Coy" Reid Sr. and a sister Annie Ruth.

William leaves precious memories with his three brothers, Curtis Lee and Carnell Reid both of Goldsboro, Billy Ray Reid of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Doreatha Reid Macklin of Dudley, and Doris Reid Corley of Goldsboro, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

A visitation for Mr. Reid will be held today from 3 until 7 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. A service of remembrance will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at Old Mill Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Reid is receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc., where Mr. Reid's temple is peacefully resting.
