MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive resident, McEnnis Rose, 73, beloved and special brother of Nancy Rose Pulley of Clayton, departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010. The angels took him home to receive his new body in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ennis, who became a member of Bear Marsh Baptist Church in his childhood, was preceded in death by his parents, Graham E. and Mildred Bell Rose.

Along with his sister, he is survived by two nieces, Kristy Carol Pulley of Clayton and Kelly Rose Pulley of Zebulon; a special family friend, George White of Clayton; several aunts; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 16, beginning at 2 p.m., with services to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, after which burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery beside his beloved parents, with the Rev. Paul Rose, the Rev. Millard Bounds and the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating.

Special thanks is extended to Albert Ray and Elizabeth Knowles of Mount Olive, Carol McDuffie of Calypso and the staffs of Glen-Care of Mount Olive and Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their excellent care, friendship and support.
