VIVIAN PARNELL HAMILTON

Vivian Parnell Hamilton, 87, surrounded by her family, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Vivian was born in Florence County, S.C., Aug. 22, 1923, to the late William King Parnell and Linda Estelle Owens Parnell.

She was a homemaker, worked in sewing plants, was an alteration lady for Edwards Young Men Shop and Edward Brothers and worked for WAGES.

Vivian was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Pete Norris officiating.

Vivian is survived by three sons, William Ray Hamilton and Roger Lee Hamilton of Goldsboro and Michael Henry Hamilton of Princeton, N.C.; her two daughters, Carol Williams of Newport, N.C., and Ruth Ann Pallazzo of Beaufort, N.C. She had 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Faye Parnell Callahan of Waycross, Ga.

In addition to her parents and her husband, William Harvey Hamilton, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth A. Hamilton; her sister, Henrietta P. Sullivan; and her four brothers, Clarence Parnell, Wallace Parnell, Harvey Parnell and L.K. Parnell.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Harvest Fellowship Church at 126 W. Walnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
