MOUNT OLIVE -- Jimmy Williamson, 74, 184 Jim Best Road, died Wednesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating.
Mr. Williamson was retired from National Spinning Co. with 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Brantley and Nannie Grady Williamson, and an infant daughter, Connie Gray Willliamson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Davis Williamson of the home; four children, Kent Williamson and wife, Kim, of Mount Olive, Gwen W. Jordan and husband, Ronnie, of Faison and Jimmy Dean Williamson and Mark Williamson both of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren, Shannon Noble, Jamie Williamson, Shane Williamson, Jodie Williamson, Kasey Garner and Anthony Williamson all of Mount Olive, Ronda Jordan of Calypso and Belinda King of Faison; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, J. D. Williamson and wife, Betty, of Mount Olive; a special niece, Rose Darden, her husband, Danny, and their daughters, Sarah and Jennifer, all of Mount Olive; and a special aunt, Evelyn W. Wells of Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery after the service, and at the residence.
The body will lie in state at Tyndall Funeral Home during normal office hours.
