Kenneth Rains, 85, of 103 S. Church St. Princeton, died Friday Aug. 27, at Johnston Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Casey Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Coppock officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Johnston County and was the son of the late James Patterson Rains and Fannie Yelverton Rains.
He is survived by his wife, Lossie Hinton Rains; sons, Eddie Rains of Nashville, Donald Ray Rains of Kenly; daughter, Sandy Fuller of Micro; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today at 1:30 prior to the funeral.
