RUTH BROWN BROGDEN

Ruth Brown Brogden, 92, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Britthaven Nursing Home.
Ruth was born in Wayne County April 23, 1918, to the late Emmett Brown and Mary Lamison Brown. She was married to the late J.M. Brogden.
Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
She had a great love for children, and had kept the nursery at St. Francis Episcopal Church for many years.
Ruth also enjoyed her opportunity of participating in the Wayne County Senior Games.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Sasser and husband, Henry, of Goldsboro and Pat Toler and husband, J.B., of Goldsboro; her sister, Emily Jean Brown of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Wayne County Humane Society at P. O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C. 27533.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
