Judy Darlene Cartrette, 46, died Monday at her residence. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Frances Smith Whitfield of Goldsboro and the late Stephen Emery Cartrette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wagner, and a brother, Jeff Cartrette.
A service to celebrate the life of Judy will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Pastor Danny Freuler officiating. Family members will remain to visit following the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be at a later date.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Steve Cartrette Jr. of Goldsboro; her maternal grandmother, Goldia H. Jones of Goldsboro; her uncles, James Cartrette of Fremont, Melvin "Bunny" Smith of Creedmoor, Durwood Smith of Florida; two nephews, Chris Cartrette and Ryan Cartrette both of Chesapeake, Va.; and a niece, Jordan Cartrette of Goldsboro.
