Died Aug. 1, 2010
CLINTON -- Herbert Melvin Ammons, 56, 1565 Indian Town Road, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Holly Grove Holiness Church, with Dr. Randy Simmons, the Rev. W. L. Ammons and the Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ammons, born in Sampson County, was the son of James Willis Ammons and the late Doretha Bledsole Ammons, and the husband of Menville Jones Ammons.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Holly Grove Holiness Church in Clinton, and other times at 1604 Indian Town Road in Clinton.
Arrangements are by Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
