GOLDSBORO -- Doris Davis Wiley, 77, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.

Doris was born in Wayne County July 27, 1933, to the late Cleveland Davis and Lucille Jones Davis. She was married to the late Joseph Clifton Wiley.

Doris worked for many years with the Cloth Barn in Goldsboro, and later volunteered at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was a faithful member of the Oak Ridge Church of God of Prophecy.

Doris will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tommy Moore officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Marie Bryan and husband, Harden, of Elizabethtown; her sons, Thomas Wiley and wife, Brenda, of Goldsboro, Johnny Wiley and wife, Susan, of Dudley and Billy Wiley and wife, Cathy, of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Stillwell and husband, Raymond, of Goldsboro and Cleo Nates and husband, Tommy, of Columbia, S.C.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Wiley.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Oak Ridge Church of God of Prophecy, 1921 N.C. 111 North, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends Friday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
