SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Larry D. Gooding, 55, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Goldsboro, N.C., was born Sept. 24, 1954, to Alice Gooding in Wayne County, N.C.
He peacefully entered into eternal rest Monday, May 25, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Denmark St., Goldsboro, N.C.
The earthly temple of Mr. Gooding has been consigned to rest in Old Mill Cemetery.
For such a great man that served his country flying the earthly skies in the United States Air Force, now his bereaved family can have everlasting peace just knowing that he indeed took his heavenly flight on the 25th day of May to that great and beautiful place called paradise.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations from 3 to 7 p.m.
He is survived by his mother, Alice L. Gooding; two sisters, Shirley Gooding of Goldsboro, N.C., and Crystal Gooding of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two nieces of Goldsboro; two nephews of Goldsboro; and two aunts of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the home of Eunice McElroy at 116 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations is serving the family.
