PENNY F. DIXON

Penny Francesca Dixon, 49, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Penny was born in Allegeny County, N.Y., May 31, 1960, to the late Doyle C. Dixon and Clara E. LaForge Dixon.
She had worked for Sam's and also with Kmart for more than 28 years in Goldsboro.
Penny was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. Entombment will follow in the church columbarium.
Penny is survived by her sister, Marjorie Ann Dixon of Goldsboro; her brother, Philip A. Dixon and wife, Yong Un Dixon, of Goldsboro; her sister-in-law, Donna Dixon of Wellsville, N.Y.; her nephew, Lynn Dixon; her nieces, Helen Dixon, Elizabeth Marie Dixon and Ann Veronica Dixon; and five great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jo Dixon and Rita Elizabeth Dixon; and her brother, Charles David Dixon.
The family will greet friends Saturday following the service at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
