ALICE J. SAVAGE

Alice Jacques Savage, 70, passed away early Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Fred Clarke officiating. A private entombment will be at Wayne Memorial Park.

Alice was born in Wayne County to the late Herbert Marshall Savage and Dora Mae Fulghum Savage. She had worked for many years as a title examiner with the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles. Alice was a member of First Christian Church.

Alice is survived by her sons, Paul Eugene Tyndall Jr. and wife, Debra, of Greenville and Herbert Darayl Tyndall and wife, Diane, of Pikeville; her sisters, Dorothy Savage Hackman and Tennie Wilson, both of Goldsboro; her brother, John D. Savage and wife, Sarah, of Richmond, Va.; her grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Beckwith, Angela Gail Purifoy, Taylor Nicole Tyndall and Bobby Bartley; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Bertha Mae Byrant, Elsie Ray Savage Davis and Micki Lingle; and her brothers, Herbert Jackson Savage and George Marshall Savage.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Darayl and Diane Tyndall, 1260 Vail Road, Pikeville, N.C.
