PIKEVILLE -- Margaret "Pat" McMahon Botbyl, 83, passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
There will be a time of sharing with friends today from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery.
She was the widow of Sidney Botbyl, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage as a homemaker. Pat was devoted to her television church ministries and enjoyed time with friends at Bojangles.
Surviving are her daughters, Shirley Weaver of Goldsboro and fiancé, Larry Patterson, of Lillington, Sibyl Ray and family of Florida; brother, Kenneth Briggs of Louisiana.
A special thanks to her caregivers, Rita Bass, Wanda Lane, Lori Hinson, Janice Best, and to the devoted staff, nurses, CNAs, business office staff, case workers, and Dr. Owens at Britthaven Nursing Home. The family would also like to thank the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Sugarfoot Shag Club friends, and other shagging friends. Thank you to Shirley's very special friends, Kim Lane and Cathy Best for their support.
