Elizabeth Mitchell Anderson, age 75, passed away Wed-nesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She was the daughter of the late A.J. and Minnie Mitchell and the wife of the late Lester Franklin Anderson. She served as a cook with Wayne County Public Schools and was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons, Lloyd F. Anderson of Seven Springs, N.C., and David M. Anderson Sr. of Dudley, N.C.; two daughters, Sandra Anderson Harrison of Charlotte, N.C., and Dawn E. Anderson of Davidson, N.C.; four brothers, Jimmy Mitchell of Grantham, N.C., Bruce Mitchell of Dudley, N.C., Zebedee Mitchell of Dudley, N.C., and A.J. Mitchell Jr. of Dudley, N.C.; two sisters, Annette Carter of Seven Springs, N.C., and Lorraine Carter of Seven Springs, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Private First Class David M. Anderson Jr. of the U.S. Army stationed in Italy, Matthew D. Harrison of Charlotte, N.C., and Justin L. Anderson of Dudley, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Sasser, the Rev. Eddie Carter, and the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. There will be a private burial in the Anderson Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends after the services at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
