ELOUISE HOBBS WILLIAMS

Elouise Hobbs Williams, 96, died as she lived: quietly and peacefully on April 21, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Faith United Holy Church 1603 S. Slocumb St.

Precious memories of her will be a comfort to her family, which includes one son, Lawrence D. Williams; three daughters, Fannie E. Williams of the home, Margaret Annette Brown, Temple Hills Md.; and Clyde Deloris Jackson, Chester Va.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; many devoted nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar R. Williams; five sons, Oscar Lawrence, Oscar R. Jr., Adam Herbert, John Davis "J.D." and Maurice; and daughter, Ella Doris Thompson; a granddaughter, Michelle Thompson; her parents; 13 siblings; and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations, Inc., 401 N. William St., Goldsboro today from 2 until 7 p.m.
