RUBY B. AYCOCK

LaGRANGE -- Ruby Burroughs Aycock, 85, of LaGrange, passed away Friday.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Fowler officiating.

Mrs. Aycock was born in Greene County to the late Shake and Neva Rouse Burroughs. She was wife of the late William Alvin Aycock and was preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Casey. Mrs. Aycock was a retired nurse's aid having retired from Britthaven of LaGrange following 23 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for her family, country music, puzzle books and the mountains.

Mrs. Aycock is survived by four children, Wilma Herring and husband, Buddy, of LaGrange, Alvin Earl Aycock and wife, Carolyn, of LaGrange, Esther Anderson and husband, Danny, of LaGrange and Sue Carol Aldridge and husband, Jay, of Kinston; two grandchildren, Ronald Casey of Seven Springs and Steve Aycock and wife, Sheri, of LaGrange; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Ryan and Randy Gauge.

The family will receive friends today from 4 until 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Aycock, 4977 Washington Street, LaGrange. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
