Gerda Elfriede Feilke of Earl Drive passed away Wednesday at home with her family by her side.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she was a member. The family will greet friends following the service.
Gerda was born in Germany on Oct. 11, 1937, to the late Klaus and Margarete Weber Pluschau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johann Frederick Feilke.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Feilke of the home and Robert Feilke of Mercer, Pa., and his ex-wife, Melissa; one daughter, Ingrid Feilke Francis and husband, Stephen of Germantown, Tenn.; one brother, Dieter Pluschau of Germany; one sister, Karin Schlenzig of Germany; six grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Danielle, Hayley, Rebecca and Robert; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 532 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
