EUREKA -- Willis Charles Smith, 80, passed away on Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Heath officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 7 p.m. and following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Charles E. Smith and Pearl Daugherty Smith. He had worked with 22 years of service as a truck driver with Montgomery Ward. Mr. Smith was a member of Watery Branch Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nina Jones Smith; his daughter, Jean Hinson and husband, Louis, of Eureka; his grandchildren, Jeff Nobles and wife, Teresa, Darren Hinson and Crystal Hinson; and his great-grandchildren, Justin Nobles, Austin Hinson, Tyler Hinson and Jenna Nicole Hinson.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
