SNOW HILL -- Robert C. Barrow, 76, passed away on Friday afternoon at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Heath officiating. Burial will follow at the Barrow Family Cemetery near the home.

Mr. Barrow was born in Greene County to the late Taylor Roosevelt Barrow and Emma Thomas Barrow. He was a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon and Sunday school superintendent. Mr. Barrow was a longtime farmer in the Shine Crossroads Commu-nity and served over 20 years as volunteer fireman with the Shine Crossroads Fire Department.

Mr. Barrow is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nannie Mae Smith Barrow; his son, Neal Barrow and wife, Felicia, of Raleigh; his daughter, Teresa Hamm and husband, Danny, of Snow Hill; and two grandchildren, Rachel Barrow and Benjamin Barrow. He is also survived by sisters, Margaret B. Sutton, Rosetta B. Smith, Gladys B. Wells and Ann B. Davis, all of Goldsboro; his brother, Wade Barrow of Snow Hill; his foster brother, Oscar Mooring of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby B. Daniels, Jessie B. Ham and Marie B. Perry; and his brother, James Barrow.

The family will receive friends throughout the day today at his home, 351 Hart Road, Snow Hill.
